These are some pics from today’s wood shop lesson. Our across-the-street neighbor is kind enough to include a few other boys as he’s teaching his boys woodworking skills. They’re making cutting boards and will do everything from learning to choose and buy their wood to making the actual project. What a blessing!
I really think I’d to do more of this type of thing. Non-homeschoolers could even take advantage of the summer break to swap skills/learning with other families. What a great time to learn to sew, knit or garden! I’ll be thinking about what I could offer that others might be interested in learning.
Do you collaborate or share classes with fellow homeschoolers in something less structured than a full-fledged co-op setting? If so, I’d love to hear and get some ideas.
